Karen Diepenbrock is a Berkeley graduate in French literature and a longtime Sacramento lawyer. She is married to lawyer Jack Diepenbrock who encourages her in everything.
As a small boy, her son Liam Ahern had an insatiable appetite for reading (and being read to), and especially loved dog and animal stories with colorful illustrations and naughty but well-meaning characters.
